Corner Clutch

What is this game?

Corner Clutch is a top-down puzzle in eight rooms where choosing a crate determines a temporary moving crew. The driver carries only crates immediately diagonal to it; the group changes after every step. Matching all lettered cargo to sockets can require using a parked helper and then splitting the group again.

Rules & objectives

1. The selected driver carries its immediate diagonal neighbors; side neighbors and neighbors of recruited crates remain still.
2. Move the entire crew exactly one cell. If any landing hits a wall, stationary crate or edge, the whole move is rejected.
3. Put every letter on its matching socket simultaneously; sockets never lock cargo.
4. There is no timer, life limit or move budget. Undo is unlimited, including in a solved room.
5. Advance manually after solving each of eight rooms.

How to play

• Click a crate, press 1–4 or Tab to change drivers; tap WASD/arrows to move.
• Hover direction buttons for ghosts; click a direction button to move.
• Z/Undo reverses a move; R resets the room; Enter/Next room advances; Hint shows the teaching suggestion.
• K/L save/load; Escape pauses; M toggles sound; N music; F fullscreen.

Why the AI chose this game

Every crate is both cargo and a tool for moving other cargo. Choosing a different driver can split a formation without adding another ability. Later puzzles require arranging helpers, passing a diagonal connection between crates, and temporarily retrieving an already parked crate. The satisfying moment is seeing one deliberate group movement resolve several positional problems.

The closest comparison is [Jelly Is Sticky](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1492620/Jelly_Is_Sticky/), which builds puzzles around sticking and deforming blocks. Corner Clutch specifically uses driver-dependent, nonrecursive diagonal pickup. Compared with prior Gap Flip, movement is a local one-cell translation rather than corridor reflection; compared with Odd Matter, occupied cells never cancel.
