Dead Air

What is this game?

Dead Air is a first-person flashlight-and-pistol survival horror game set in the Hollow Pine relay station. During a midnight-to-dawn shift, you maintain the generator and send five scheduled all-clear broadcasts while a sound-hunting presence stalks the building. Five station-log pages reveal the previous operator’s experience through the journal.

Rules & objectives

1. Keep the generator fuelled and send all five scheduled broadcasts during the 00:00–06:00 shift.
2. The Caller is blind and tracks sound. Sneaking is quiet; running and gunfire attract danger.
3. Flashlight and pistol hits stagger the Caller briefly instead of permanently defeating it.
4. Battery and ammunition are scarce; station logs can be reread in the Journal.

How to play

• WASD moves; mouse looks; Shift sneaks.
• T toggles the flashlight; left mouse fires; E interacts.
• J opens the journal; F5/F9 save/load; F fullscreen; Escape menu.

Story & setting

You are keeping Hollow Pine’s relay broadcasting until dawn. Scattered station logs tell the prior operator’s story as something outside answers the transmissions.
