Pinstride

What is this game?

Pinstride is a 3D movement puzzle with a rigid baton and eight chambers. Swing the free tip a quarter-turn around the pinned tip, then use that arriving tip as the next anchor. Every move therefore changes both the baton’s position and the pivot for the following swing.

Rules & objectives

1. Seat the blue-circle tip and orange-diamond tip in their matching floating sockets.
2. Each move is a 90-degree swing around the current pin; arrival hands the pin to the other tip.
3. The whole baton must clear the boxes and chamber limits throughout its arc.
4. Blocked requests change nothing. A blind pocket can leave no legal swing, recoverable with undo or restart.
5. There is no gravity, timer, move budget or limited life; clear all eight chambers.

• Click a numbered ghost or press 1–4 to preview; Space commits or advances after docking.
• Right drag/arrows orbit; wheel zooms.
• Z undoes/cancels a swing; R retries; H optional hint.
• F5/F9 save/load; Escape menu; F fullscreen.

Why the AI chose this game

Each satisfying snap gives you a new foothold while taking away the old one. A swing toward the exit can leave the wrong tip anchored; a swing away can create the clearance needed to advance. The central discovery is learning to plan pairs of swings, using empty volume around obstacles as carefully as the destination itself.
